There is not a single organization, or individual who is not prepared in COVID 19 pandemic environment. The fear is real. But simple precautions will help one keep healthy. The most important is to keep social distancing and if possible to work from home, if it is permitted. If sick or even with a mild cold, stay home and in home, stay away from your near and dear ones. Help and support each other, especially the infirm and the elderly. Look around your community as to who needs help and go out of your way to provide that help. Who knows, you may need help tomorrow. Fortunately all employers have risen to the occasion in supporting employees in the best possible manner. Leaders from all professions have been advising working safely. Like many HR leaders have said before, as a professional we need to be available round the clock offering help. When will this go away? No one has the answer as yet but it is possible to contain the spread of the virus acting on suggestions by the health specialists. In a lighter vein, my son remarked this morning, that we are lucky to experience this calamity. Our preventive hygiene protocols will prepare us for the future. All I can suggest to you all is to be grateful to those doctors, nurses, paramedics, police and emergency personnel who are in danger of getting inflected with COVID 19. Thank you to them that we are safe. Ajit Sinha CPHR SPHR - SCP
